AGNOSY AND NIGHTS OUT ON THE THAMES EDGELANDS

Just a quick post here about a band I have discovered who, better than any other group I've seen in ages (excepting maybe Fall of Efrafa) nail the whole epic-crust-hardcore thing with complete skill.

It also helped witnessing them at five in the morning on a makeshift stage on the converted Soviet trawler, the Stubnitz, sitting on the Thames in the middle of nowhere (Gallion's Reach anyone?). The Thames spread out in an endless expanse up on deck, the lights of Canary Wharf twinkling far off in the distance, and the strange feeling that London still has the capacity to surprise even its most jaded resident.

An unholy mixture of crusty punk, Discharge-style hardcore and bleak metal. The perfect soundtrack to a dark November night ruminating upon genocide and the pointlessness of existence. Enjoy.
