NEW LEXICONS UPDATE
Busy times!
I’m very happy to say that Hollow Shores is now available to PRE ORDER from Dead Ink Books as part of their Publishing the Underground crowdfunding campaign. This is your chance to grab a limited edition hardback edition of the book, as well as standard paperback and eBook editions.
You can grab a copy — and four other amazing novels — here. Support independent publishing!
I am also happy to say that I have been working with filmmaker and writer Adam Scovell on a short film adaptation of my story ‘Greenteeth’, now shortlisted for a British Fantasy Award. The story is an attempt at a housing-crisis horror, using weird fiction and horror to address the real issues of housing in London. It’s also obsessed with the canals and waterways of the city, of the decaying gas towers and the terrors that lurk beneath the waters. There will be a trailer for the film released on Monday.
I have a few live events coming up. Firstly I'm chuffed to be reading with the phenomenal Irenosen Okojie at the Open PEN summer party (we head to the Preston front). It's Jamboree on Cable Street, August 16th. Come down to hear me read something from Hollow Shores!
I'm also reading in East London with Paul Hawkins (author of the brilliant Influx Press book Place Waste Dissent), Tony White and more for launch of diisonance. It's at The Gallery Cafe in Bethnal Green on September 8th and should be a great night.
There will be a number of events, launches and more soon to be announced coinciding with the release of the book so watch this space!
In other news, I saw one of the greatest of all punk bands last night, the mighty Propagandhi at The Garage in Highbury, London. This band have influenced me in so many ways it's impossible to get across how much they mean to me. Simply brilliant, and one of the best examples of why the punk scene is still important.
See you soon!
